The Varsity Band

The Varsity Band brings music and excitement to numerous indoor and outdoor events. This group plays at all home men's and women's basketball games, as well as selected away games. The Varsity Band also plays at men's and women's volleyball matches, soccer matches, student and alumni rallies and other special events. 

The Varsity Band travels to NCAA Regionals and Finals Tournaments with the men's and women's basketball teams and occasionally to tournament appearances in other sports as well. In the past few years, the Varsity Band has traveled to New York, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Honolulu, Phoenix, San Francisco, Tucson, Albuquerque, Denver, Syracuse, Oklahoma City, Anchorage, Boise, Oakland, Seattle, Tuscaloosa, St. Petersburg, San Diego, San Jose and Indianapolis.

To participate with the Varsity Band, you must be a member of the Bruin Marching Band during the Fall Quarter.
